FAQ

Functional dermatology focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of skin conditions rather than just treating the symptoms. By understanding the intricate connections between diet, gut health, inflammation, and skin, we create personalized plans that promote healing from within.

Yes, our approach is rooted in scientific research and clinical evidence. We stay up-to-date with the latest studies on dermatology, nutrition, and holistic health to ensure that our clients receive the most effective and safe treatments.

I consider your medical history, current health status, test results and specific skin condition to create a plan that suits you best. One-size-fits-all solutions don’t work when it comes to functional dermatology.
Functional dermatology can be beneficial for a wide range of skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, seborrheic dermatitis, and some forms of hair loss. By addressing the root causes of inflammation and imbalances, we aim to improve overall skin health.
Results vary based on individual factors, the severity of the condition, and how closely you follow the recommended plan. Some clients experience noticeable improvements within a few weeks, while others may take longer. Consistency and patience are key.

Absolutely. Our approach complements conventional therapies. We encourage collaboration with your healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to your skin health.
I currently can help patients who reside in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
Yes, I currently am associated with a few select private dermatology practices with locations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. You must be a patient of one of these practices for me to see you.
It’s simple. Reach out to us to get started. I will guide you on the next steps. If we are a good fit, the next steps are as follows:

  1. We schedule a 1 hr intake call (ZOOM) where we get your complete history and order a GI MAP and Organic acid test.
  2. We then schedule an in person follow up a few weeks later in the office at which you are a patient. In this 45 min-1 hour visit, we review your results, take baseline photos and create an initial protocol for you to follow.
  3. We see you back in 2-3 months to check on your progress. In this ½ visit, we take photos, go over protocol and adjust based on results.
Unfortunately, not at this time.
The total cost will depend on the unique case, functional testing used, and the duration of our work together.

General pricing information:

  • Functional lab testing: GI Map ($) and Organic Acids Test ($)
  • First visit: 60 minutes ($350)
  • Second visit: 60 minutes ($350)
  • Follow-up visits: 30 minutes ($200)
  • Supplements and Topicals: Varies by case and client. On average, $150-$200 per month.

For clients who need additional support and accountability implementing diet and lifestyle changes, a 4- 6 month coaching program may be recommended in lieu of the “by appointment” plan. Coaching programs range from $4000 to $6000 depending on the length of the program.
